For a smoother chutney, use an immersion blender to pulse the mixture a few times once it has finished cooking. Be careful not to over-blend. Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your preference. Start with 1/2 teaspoon for a milder chutney. Sterilize your jars and lids properly to ensure a longer shelf life for the chutney. This chutney is best enjoyed after it has had a chance to mature for at least a week, allowing the flavors to meld and deepen.

Sep 5, 2024I've made chutney before, but this recipe is by far the best. The addition of sultanas adds a lovely touch of sweetness.
