Spread 1/4 of the batter into each of the prepared cake pans and sprinkle 1/4 of the streusel filling over each. Repeat once more, spreading layers evenly. (10 minutes)

For an extra touch of flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the batter.
Make sure your shortening is at room temperature for easier mixing.
