For best results, use fully ripe strawberries at their peak sweetness. Sterilize your jars and lids by boiling them in water for 10 minutes prior to filling. Experiment with different fruit and drink mix combinations! Raspberry with blue raspberry drink mix, or peach with orange drink mix are excellent choices. If you prefer a less sweet jelly, you can reduce the amount of sugar by up to 1 cup, but be aware that this may affect the setting of the jelly. For a smoother texture, you can strain the mashed strawberries through a cheesecloth before adding them to the saucepan.

Jun 14, 2025The jelly didn't set for me the first time, but I realized I hadn't brought it to a *full* rolling boil. The second batch was perfect!

Apr 26, 2025I was skeptical about the drink mix, but it actually adds a really nice tanginess. I used grape flavor and it was delicious!
