Be sure to use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
If you don't have maraschino cherries on hand, you can substitute with other dried fruits like cranberries or raisins.
To prevent the top of the bread from getting too dark, tent it with foil during the last 20 minutes of baking.
