For a richer flavor, toast the dried chiles in a dry skillet before adding them to the oil. Be careful not to burn them. Adjust the amount of chile de arbol peppers to control the spiciness of the sauce. The sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or frozen for longer storage.
