For a more intense flavor, marinate the artichoke hearts in a bit of the balsamic vinaigrette for at least 30 minutes before adding them to the salad. Feel free to add other Mediterranean-inspired ingredients such as sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, or roasted red peppers. If you don't have fresh basil, you can substitute 1 teaspoon of dried basil.
