For a richer flavor, brown the ribs in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker. Adjust the amount of brown sugar and vinegar to suit your taste preferences – more sugar for a sweeter sauce, more vinegar for a tangier one. If the sauce is too thin at the end of cooking, remove the ribs and whisk in a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with two tablespoons of cold water. Cook on high for 15-20 minutes, or until thickened. These ribs are also fantastic on slider buns for an easy party appetizer.
