Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Line a roasting pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Place a wire rack inside the prepared roasting pan. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Position the ham fat-side up on the wire rack within the roasting pan. Ensure the ham is snugly covered with a double layer of aluminum foil to retain moisture. (5 minutes)

03

Step

Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). A typical 8-10 pound ham will require 2 to 2.5 hours. Use a meat thermometer to ensure accuracy. (120-150 minutes)

04

Step

While the ham rests, quickly grill or roast the asparagus until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes. If roasting, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper and spread on a baking sheet. Roast alongside the ham during the last 20 minutes of cooking time. (25 minutes)

05

Step

Once the ham is cooked and rested, carefully transfer it to a serving platter. Arrange the grilled/roasted asparagus, fresh strawberries, and blueberries artfully around the ham. (10 minutes)

06

Step

Optional: Drizzle a balsamic glaze over the ham and garnish for an extra layer of flavor and visual appeal. Serve immediately and enjoy the symphony of flavors.

For enhanced flavor, consider scoring the ham in a diamond pattern before roasting.
Resting the ham for 10-15 minutes before carving allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful product.
Feel free to substitute other seasonal fruits such as raspberries, blackberries, or mandarin oranges based on availability and preference.
Leftover ham can be used in sandwiches, salads, or omelets.
