For a richer flavor, try using toasted sesame oil in the dressing. Feel free to experiment with different types of lettuce. Romaine or butter lettuce would also work well. If you don't have monosodium glutamate, you can omit it or substitute with a pinch of salt and a dash of umami seasoning. The dressing can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
