Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

Crumble the feta cheese into a food processor bowl. Pulse the cheese in short bursts (about 5-10 seconds) until it breaks down into uniformly small crumbles, but not a paste. Transfer the crumbled feta to a mixing bowl. (Approximately 2 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

In the same food processor, combine the roasted red peppers, pepperoncini peppers, and cayenne pepper. Purée until completely smooth and a vibrant red paste forms. (Approximately 3-5 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

Pour the red pepper purée over the crumbled feta cheese in the mixing bowl. Add the ricotta cheese and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the dip is uniform in texture and color. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more cayenne for extra heat or lemon juice for brightness. (Approximately 3-5 minutes)

04

Step
2 hrs

Transfer the Spicy Feta Dip to an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and deepen. Serve chilled with warm pita bread, crusty baguette slices, assorted raw vegetables, or your favorite crackers. (Approximately 120 minutes)

For a smoother dip, use a higher quality feta cheese that is less dry.
Roasting your own red peppers will enhance the flavor of the dip. Simply roast red bell peppers under a broiler or over an open flame until blackened, then place in a sealed bag to steam. Peel off the skin, remove the seeds, and chop.
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper and pepperoncini to suit your spice preference.
A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil over the finished dip adds a touch of richness and elegance.
