Follow The Directions

01

Step
6 mins

Crisp the Bacon (6 minutes): Place turkey bacon in a skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Cook until crispy, turning occasionally. Remove, let cool slightly, and chop into small pieces.

02

Step
1 mins

Prepare the Hollandaise Base (1 minute 30 seconds): In a microwaveable bowl, mix Chicken Stock, cream, lemon juice, minced garlic, and dill. Microwave on HIGH until heated through.

03

Step
4 mins

Emulsify the Hollandaise (3-5 minutes): Set up a double boiler. Bring water to a boil in the bottom pot (water shouldn't touch the top pan). Lightly beat egg yolks in the top of the double boiler. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and roughly doubled in volume. Reduce heat to low.

04

Step
2 mins

Combine and Season the Hollandaise (2 minutes): Gradually whisk in the stock/cream mixture, ensuring it's fully incorporated. Continue whisking for another minute until smooth. Season with 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.

05

Step
5 mins

Steam the Green Beans (5 minutes): Set a steamer basket insert into a large saucepan. Pour Chicken Broth into the saucepan to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring to a boil. Add green beans, season with 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and steam until crisp-tender. Discard leftover chicken broth or reserve for another use.

06

Step
1 mins

Assemble and Serve: Transfer the steamed green beans to a serving dish. Sprinkle with crispy bacon crumbles. Generously top with the garlic dill hollandaise sauce and serve immediately.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the hollandaise sauce.
If you don't have a double boiler, you can create one by placing a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Ensure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
Fresh dill can be substituted for dried, use 1 tablespoon of fresh, chopped dill.

I never thought green beans could taste this good. The bacon adds the perfect touch of saltiness.

The garlic dill hollandaise is amazing on other vegetables too! I tried it on asparagus, and it was delicious.
