Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large skillet, heat over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and crumbly, approximately 5-7 minutes. Reduce heat to low.

02

Step

Stir in the coriander, cumin, salt, turmeric, chili powder, and ginger. Add the frozen peas and water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 25 minutes. Uncover and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until any remaining liquid has evaporated.

03

Step

Stir in the pickled jalapeños and garam masala. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Allow the mixture to cool until it's safe to handle, approximately 15 minutes.

04

Step

Place about 1 tablespoon of the beef mixture onto the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold them over the filling and seal tightly. Repeat with the remaining filling and wonton wrappers.

05

Step

In a large saucepan, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the samosas in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.

06

Step

Remove the fried samosas from the saucepan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy!

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a pinch of asafoetida (hing) to the beef mixture while cooking.
Adjust the amount of chili powder according to your spice preference.
If you don't have pickled jalapenos, you can use fresh jalapenos, finely chopped.
Ensure the wonton wrappers are sealed tightly to prevent the filling from leaking during frying.
Serve with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce for an enhanced culinary experience.
