For a smoother juice, peel the apple and carrots before juicing. If you don't have fresh ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger can be substituted. To make ahead, juice can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Some separation may occur; stir before serving. Add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice for extra zing. If you want to reduce the sugar content, try adding a green apple.
