Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Wings: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

02

Step

Season the Wings: In a small bowl, whisk together the baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Transfer this mixture to a resealable bag. Add the wings in batches, seal the bag, and shake until each wing is evenly coated. Remove the wings and place them on a plate, shaking off any excess powder.

03

Step

Air Fry the Wings: Lightly spray the coated wings with cooking spray. Arrange them in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook for 20 minutes, shaking and flipping the wings halfway through. Increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) and continue cooking until the wings are beautifully crispy, approximately 5 minutes more. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the wings in batches.

04

Step

Craft the Balsamic Glaze: While the wings are air frying, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan, combine 1/3 cup water, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, chili sauce, and minced garlic. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat and allow it to reduce until it thickens slightly, about 15 minutes.

05

Step

Thicken the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together 1 teaspoon of water and cornstarch to create a slurry. Pour this slurry into the simmering sauce and stir continuously until the glaze thickens to your desired consistency.

06

Step

Glaze and Garnish: Transfer the crispy air-fried wings to a large bowl. Drizzle the luscious balsamic glaze over the wings and toss gently until they are thoroughly coated in the glossy sauce. Garnish with freshly sliced green onion and toasted sesame seeds for an added layer of flavor and visual appeal. Serve immediately and watch them disappear!

For extra crispy wings, ensure the wings are as dry as possible before coating them in the baking powder mixture. Pat them dry with paper towels if needed.
Adjust the amount of chili sauce to your preference for spice. A dash of red pepper flakes can also be added to the glaze for an extra kick.
If you don't have an air fryer, these wings can be baked in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until cooked through and crispy.
The balsamic glaze can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before using.

Make sure to shake off the excess powder before air frying – it makes a big difference in the crispiness.
