Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower, chickpea flour, potatoes, water, red onion, salt, garlic, curry powder, coriander, cayenne pepper, and cumin. Mix well until a thick batter forms. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Let the batter rest for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). (2 minutes)

04

Step

Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray. (1 minute)

05

Step

Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of batter into the prepared basket, gently flattening each portion. Ensure the pakoras are not touching each other to allow for even cooking. Mist the tops of the pakoras with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

06

Step

Cook in the preheated air fryer for 8 minutes. (8 minutes)

07

Step

Carefully flip the pakoras and cook for an additional 8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. (8 minutes)

08

Step

Transfer the cooked pakoras to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil. (2 minutes)

09

Step

Repeat steps 5-8 with the remaining batter. (Variable time)

For extra crispy pakoras, ensure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to suit your spice preference.
Serve immediately for the best texture. These are also delicious with a mint-cilantro chutney or tamarind sauce.
If the batter seems too thick, add a tablespoon of water at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
