For a sweeter smoothie, add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup. If you don't have vanilla almond milk, plain almond milk works well, just add a splash of vanilla extract. Freezing the banana beforehand creates a thicker, colder smoothie without the need for as much ice. Experiment with different types of milk (dairy, oat, soy) to find your favorite flavor profile. Add a handful of spinach or kale for an extra boost of nutrients – you won't even taste it!
