Add chicken stock and water to the Dutch oven; stir in potatoes, carrot, parsley, dill, lemon juice, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Simmer until flavors combine, about 1 hour.

Purée soup with an immersion blender until mostly smooth.

For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken stock.
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your preference for heat.
Garnish with a dollop of crème fraîche or sour cream and a sprinkle of fresh herbs before serving.
