Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

In a small saucepan, combine the beer and butter. Heat over low heat until the butter is melted and the mixture reaches 115-120°F (45-50°C). Be careful not to overheat. (Approximately 5 minutes)

02

Step
3 mins

In a medium bowl, thoroughly combine the shredded pepper jack cheese, Asiago cheese, chopped jalapeños, and chopped onions. Ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed. (Approximately 3 minutes)

03

Step
7 mins

Pour the warm beer and butter mixture into the bread machine pan. Add the sugar, salt, and bread flour in that order. Create a small well, about 2 inches deep, in the center of the flour. Add the active dry yeast to the well, then gently push the flour over the yeast to cover it. Add about half of the cheese mixture to the pan. (Approximately 7 minutes)

04

Step
1 mins

Select the 'Basic' or 'White Bread' cycle on your bread machine and start the machine. (Approximately 1 minute)

05

Step
1 mins

After the bread machine has been running for 30 minutes, carefully add the remaining cheese mixture to the pan. Allow the bread machine to continue its cycle. (Approximately 1 minute)

06

Step
20 mins

Once the bread machine cycle is complete, remove the loaf from the machine. Place it on a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving. This usually takes around 20 minutes.

For a richer flavor, try using a dark lager or stout beer.
Adjust the amount of jalapeño to control the level of spiciness.
Make sure the beer and butter mixture is not too hot, as it can kill the yeast.
For best results, use fresh, high-quality cheese.
If you don’t have a bread machine, this recipe can be adapted for a traditional oven; allow the dough to rise in a warm place before baking.
