Recipe View **Day Before:** Prepare the Cornbread & Bread: Bake the cornbread according to package directions. Once cooled, remove from pan and leave uncovered (or very loosely covered with a cloth) overnight to dry out slightly. Tear the white bread into pieces and also leave uncovered overnight to dry. Recipe View Bake: Transfer the stuffing to the prepared baking dish. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned. (Cook time: 40 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a diced apple or some dried cranberries to the sausage mixture.
If you don't have time to dry out the bread and cornbread overnight, you can lightly toast them in a low oven (200°F) for about 30-45 minutes.
Feel free to adjust the amount of sage to your preference. Start with 2 teaspoons and add more to taste.
If you like a moister stuffing, add a little more chicken broth.
