For best results, use very cold butter. You can even freeze it for 15 minutes before cubing. Don't overmix the dough, or the scones will be tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined. Feel free to substitute other berries or nuts. Raspberries and walnuts would also be delicious. A sprinkle of coarse sugar on top before baking adds a nice crunch and sweetness.
