Simmer: Cook on Low heat for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the chicken is tender and the flavors have melded. (Cook Time: 150-180 minutes)

Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). (Prep Time: 10 minutes)

Assemble and Bake: Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish, side-by-side; spoon additional sauce on top. Place 2 slices of mozzarella cheese over each breast; sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, and garlic powder. (Prep Time: 5 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use homemade marinara sauce.
If you prefer a crispier crust, skip the slow cooker step and bake the chicken immediately after searing.
