Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 2-quart square baking dish.

02

Step

Arrange hot dog bun pieces on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until dry and crisp, 7 to 8 minutes. Cool completely.

03

Step

In a large bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, eggs, ¾ cup milk, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until well combined.

04

Step

Transfer the toasted bun pieces to the prepared baking dish; pour the milk mixture evenly over the top. Scatter 1 cup marshmallows and ¾ cup chocolate chips over the mixture. Let stand until the milk mixture is slightly soaked into the buns, about 5 minutes.

05

Step

Sprinkle the crushed graham cracker crumbs evenly over the top.

06

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.

07

Step

In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together 2 tablespoons milk, 2 tablespoons marshmallows, and 2 tablespoons chocolate chips until the marshmallows and chocolate are completely melted and smooth. Pour the melted mixture evenly over the bread pudding.

08

Step

Let the bread pudding cool for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.

For an extra layer of flavor, try using chocolate graham crackers or adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
If you don't have hot dog buns, you can substitute with other types of bread such as brioche or challah.
Feel free to adjust the amount of marshmallows and chocolate chips to your liking.
For a more intense s'mores flavor, lightly toast the marshmallows with a kitchen torch after baking.

Be careful not to overbake it, or it will get dry. 35 minutes was perfect in my oven.
