For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth. Feel free to add other vegetables, such as diced potatoes, corn, or green beans. To make this dish ahead of time, prepare the chicken mixture and biscuit topping separately. Store in the refrigerator until ready to bake. Add a few minutes to the baking time if baking from cold. If the biscuit topping is browning too quickly, tent the dish with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled to feed a larger crowd.
