Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Generously spray 12 muffin cups with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Crumble and cook the pork sausage in the hot skillet until browned and cooked through, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess grease and evenly distribute the sausage among the prepared muffin cups. (10 minutes)

03

Step

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the half-and-half, baking mix, eggs, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Carefully pour the mixture over the sausage in each muffin cup, filling them about three-quarters full. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Top each muffin generously with shredded Cheddar cheese. (2 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before carefully removing and serving. (30 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding diced onions or bell peppers to the sausage while cooking.
These muffins freeze beautifully! Allow them to cool completely, then wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese, such as Gruyere or Monterey Jack, for a unique twist.
