Follow The Directions

01

Step
4 mins

Toast the Coconut (3-4 minutes): In a dry skillet over medium-low heat, toast the shredded coconut, stirring constantly. Watch carefully to prevent burning! Toast until lightly golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside 1/2 teaspoon for garnish.

02

Step
2 mins

Blend the Frappe (2 minutes): In a high-powered blender, combine the toasted coconut (reserving the garnish), frozen coffee cubes, chilled coffee, coconut milk, 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup, and sweetener. Blend until smooth, icy, and frothy. Add more coconut milk for a thinner consistency, or more coffee ice cubes for a thicker frappe.

03

Step
1 mins

Assemble and Garnish (1 minute): Pour the frappe into a chilled glass. Top with a dollop of whipped topping (if using), a sprinkle of the reserved toasted coconut, and a drizzle of the remaining chocolate syrup.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a pinch of sea salt to the blender.
If you don't have coffee ice cubes, regular ice cubes can be substituted, but the frappe will be less intensely coffee-flavored.
Adjust the amount of sweetener to your personal preference.
For a vegan option, use a plant-based whipped topping.

I found it a little too sweet, so I reduced the amount of chocolate syrup and stevia. It was perfect after that!

I love how easy this is to make. It's the perfect afternoon treat.

Using coffee ice cubes is genius! It prevents the frappe from getting watered down.

This is my new favorite summer drink! The toasted coconut adds such a wonderful depth of flavor.
