Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the creamy shrimp sauce. Add a splash of pasta water as needed to create a smooth, emulsified sauce that coats the pasta beautifully. Toss gently to combine. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes for a touch of heat. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a tablespoon of butter to the sauce just before adding the cream. This will enrich the sauce and add a lovely sheen.
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese makes a wonderful addition to this dish. Sprinkle generously over the pasta before serving.
Adjust the amount of lemon juice and red pepper flakes to suit your personal preferences. The goal is a balanced flavor profile that is both bright and subtly spicy.
Ensure not to overcook the shrimp, as this will make the shrimp rubbery. Cook until just pink and opaque.
If you don't have fresh basil, you can substitute with 1 teaspoon of dried basil, but fresh basil is highly recommended for the best flavor.
