For a milder blend, reduce the amount of cayenne pepper. For a spicier blend, add more cayenne, or a pinch of chipotle powder. Toasting the dried herbs and spices in a dry pan over medium heat for a minute or two before blending can enhance their flavor. Be careful not to burn them! This blend is best used within 6 months for optimal flavor.
