Drain off and discard the water. Pour the contents out onto a picnic table covered with newspaper.
For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a sliced onion and a head of garlic (halved) to the pot along with the seafood seasoning.
Adjust the amount of seafood seasoning to your preference. Some people prefer a spicier boil.
Be careful not to overcook the shrimp, as they can become rubbery. They are done when they turn pink and opaque.
Serve with your favorite hot sauce, cocktail sauce, and plenty of napkins!
Consider adding other ingredients like lobster tails or crawfish to make it your own.

Jun 7, 2025I used frozen shrimp, and it still turned out great. Just be sure to thaw them completely before adding them to the pot.
