Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large roasting pan, combine tomato sauce, tomato soup, ground cloves, crushed garlic, bay leaves, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Prepare the chicken wings by bending the tip of each wing back and securing it under the joint where the thigh and drumette meet. Place the wings in the sauce, ensuring they are well-coated. (15 minutes)

03

Step

Cover the roasting pan and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and continue baking for approximately 1 1/2 hours, or until the sauce has thickened and the wings are cooked through. (120 minutes)

04

Step

While the chicken wings are baking, prepare the rice. In a large saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, cloves, salt, turmeric, slivered almonds, and golden raisins. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed. (10 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider marinating the chicken wings in the spice mixture for at least 30 minutes before baking.
If you prefer a spicier dish, increase the amount of cayenne pepper to your liking.
Toasted almonds can add a delightful nutty aroma and flavor to the rice. Toast them lightly in a dry pan before adding them to the rice mixture.
Serve the chicken wings hot, accompanied by the fragrant rice. Garnish with fresh herbs, such as cilantro or parsley, for a pop of color and freshness.
