For a richer flavor, sear the pork roast on all sides in a hot skillet before placing it in the slow cooker. If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove some of the cooking liquid from the slow cooker after cooking and simmer it in a saucepan over medium heat until it reduces to your desired consistency.
