Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 hrs

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, approximately 30 seconds. Add the frozen peas and stir to begin thawing. Pour in the vegetable broth and evaporated milk.

02

Step
5 hrs

Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the peas are tender. Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and puree until completely smooth.

03

Step
2 hrs

Pour the pureed sauce back into the skillet. Season generously with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce reaches your desired consistency, about 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately.

For a richer flavor, substitute heavy cream for evaporated milk. Adjust seasoning as needed.
This sauce is excellent served over mashed potatoes, pasta, grilled chicken, or fish.
Fresh mint or parsley can be added to the blender for an extra layer of flavor.
