Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain well. (15 minutes)

03

Step

In the prepared baking dish, create layers with the noodles, mixed peas and carrots, minced onion, and diced ham. (10 minutes)

04

Step

In a separate bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the casserole. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Gently press down on the casserole with the back of a fork to ensure the soup mixture penetrates all the layers. (5 minutes)

06

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly, heated through, and lightly golden on top. (30 minutes)

07

Step

Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Feel free to customize this casserole with your favorite herbs and spices. A pinch of thyme, a dash of paprika, or a sprinkle of garlic powder can add extra depth of flavor.
For a richer flavor, use cream instead of milk.
To add a crispy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs or shredded cheese over the casserole during the last 10 minutes of baking.
This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking. Add an extra 10-15 minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
