Follow The Directions

01

Step

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish generously with half of the butter. Ensure all corners and edges are well-coated to prevent sticking. (Prep time: 2 minutes)

02

Step

In a large, non-stick stock pot, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Add the miniature marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, until completely melted and smooth. This should take approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Be careful not to burn the marshmallows.

03

Step

Remove the pot from the heat. Immediately add the crispy rice cereal, brown sugar and butter-flavored cereal, and fruit-flavored cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture. Stir quickly and thoroughly to ensure all the cereals are evenly coated. (Mixing time: 3-5 minutes)

04

Step

Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Using a spatula or your hands (lightly greased with butter or cooking spray), press the mixture evenly and firmly into the dish. Aim for a uniform thickness. (Pressing time: 2-3 minutes)

05

Step

Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature before cutting into 3-inch squares. This will help them to set properly and prevent them from being too sticky. (Cooling time: 30-45 minutes)

For extra gooey treats, slightly under-melt the marshmallows.
To prevent sticking when pressing the mixture into the pan, use a piece of parchment paper or wax paper over the mixture.
Feel free to experiment with different cereal combinations to create your own signature treat!
Store the cereal treats in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain their freshness and prevent them from becoming stale.
For a richer flavor, use salted butter instead of unsalted butter.
