Follow The Directions

01

Step
15 mins

Prepare the Bacon: In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. (Approximately 8-10 minutes). Drain on paper towels to remove excess grease. Once cool enough to handle, crumble into small pieces. (Approximately 5 minutes).

02

Step
10 mins

Prepare the Broccoli and Other Ingredients: While the bacon is cooking, wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Dice the red onion. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, red onion, plumped golden raisins, and shredded Cheddar cheese. Add the crumbled bacon to the bowl. (Approximately 10 minutes).

03

Step
2 mins

Make the Dressing: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and white wine vinegar until smooth and well combined. (Approximately 2 minutes).

04

Step
30 mins

Combine and Chill: Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture. Gently toss until all ingredients are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. (30 minutes to overnight).

For a nuttier flavor, toast 1/2 cup of slivered almonds and add them to the salad.
To add some crunch, include sunflower seeds.
If you prefer a tangier dressing, add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard.
For a lighter salad, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise, or a combination of both.
