Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

In a large bowl, whisk together the Teriyaki Marinade, Hoisin Sauce, Oyster Sauce, Sugar, Sriracha, minced Garlic, and minced Ginger until thoroughly combined. This is your master sauce. Reserve half for basting. (5 minutes)

02

Step
2 hrs

Place the ribs in a large resealable bag or container. Pour half of the master sauce over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, for maximum flavor penetration. (2 hours - overnight)

03

Step
5 mins

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the ribs from the marinade and place each rack on a large sheet of heavy-duty foil. Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil, creating a sealed packet. (5 minutes)

04

Step
1 hrs 30 mins

Bake the foil-wrapped ribs for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the meat is very tender and easily pulls away from the bone. (1 hour 30 minutes)

05

Step
2 mins

Carefully open the foil packets, allowing steam to escape. Drain any accumulated juices from the foil and set aside. (2 minutes)

06

Step
5 mins

Preheat grill to medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking. (5 minutes)

07

Step
20 mins

Brush the ribs generously with the remaining master sauce. Grill the ribs for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently and basting with more sauce, until they are beautifully glazed and slightly caramelized. Watch carefully to prevent burning. (20 minutes)

08

Step

Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions, if desired.

For a deeper, smokier flavor, finish the ribs on a smoker for the last hour of cooking.
Adjust the amount of Sriracha to your preference for spice.
The master sauce can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
If you don't have a grill, you can broil the ribs in the oven for the final step. Watch them closely to prevent burning.

I was a little hesitant about the oyster sauce, but it really added a depth of flavor that I loved. Will definitely make again!

The marinating time is crucial! Don't skip the overnight marinating for the best results.

  • Bradly Emard

I added a pinch of smoked paprika to the sauce for an extra smoky flavor. Delicious!
