Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice concentrate, lemon juice, rice vinegar, orange zest, garlic powder, nutmeg, and brown sugar until the sugar is mostly dissolved. (3 minutes)

03

Step

Add the cocktail sausages to the orange mixture, ensuring they are well-coated. Transfer the sausages and sauce to an 8x8-inch baking dish. (2 minutes)

04

Step

Bake in the preheated oven, stirring every 10 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and the sausages are heated through, about 30 to 40 minutes. (40 minutes)

05

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to form a smooth slurry. (1 minute)

06

Step

Using a slotted spoon, remove the sausages from the baking dish and transfer them to a serving dish. Pour the remaining sauce from the baking dish into a saucepan. (2 minutes)

07

Step

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the sauce to a simmer. Gradually whisk in the cornstarch slurry and continue whisking until the sauce thickens to a glossy glaze, about 2 minutes. (5 minutes)

08

Step

Pour the thickened orange glaze over the cocktail sausages and serve immediately. Garnish with additional orange zest, if desired.

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the orange glaze.
These sausages can also be made in a slow cooker. Simply combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
If you don't have rice vinegar, apple cider vinegar can be substituted.
