Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and ground ginger. (2 minutes)

02

Step

Place the salmon portions in a shallow dish. Pour all but 3 tablespoons of the orange juice mixture over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated. Reserve the remaining mixture in the bowl. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate the fish. (35 minutes)

03

Step

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). (5 minutes)

04

Step

Line a baking dish with aluminum foil. Transfer the marinated salmon to the prepared baking dish, patting each piece dry with paper towels to ensure a beautiful sear. Discard the marinade. Spoon 1 tablespoon of the reserved orange juice mixture over each salmon portion. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle lightly with extra-virgin olive oil. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the salmon is heated through, about 6 minutes. Remove from the oven and spoon the remaining 2 tablespoons of orange juice mixture evenly over the salmon. (6 minutes)

06

Step

Continue baking until the flesh flakes easily with a fork, an additional 6 to 9 minutes. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). (9 minutes)

07

Step

Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges. Garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds for an elegant touch.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a minced clove of garlic or a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
If using skin-on salmon, place the salmon skin-side down in the baking dish for a crispier skin.
To prevent sticking, lightly grease the aluminum foil with cooking spray before placing the salmon on it.
The marinade also works wonderfully with other types of fish, such as tuna or cod.
