Follow The Directions

01

Step

Gently scoop out the avocado flesh from each half and dice into cubes. Reserve the avocado peels for serving. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Place the diced avocado in a mixing bowl and immediately sprinkle with fresh lemon juice to prevent browning. Also, sprinkle the inside of the reserved peels with lemon juice. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Add the cooked shrimp, thawed peas, chopped olives, diced onion, and diced celery to the bowl with the avocado. (3 minutes)

04

Step

Season the mixture with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. (1 minute)

05

Step

Gently fold in the mayonnaise, adding just enough to lightly coat all the ingredients. Be careful not to overmix. (2 minutes)

06

Step

Spoon the salad mixture back into the reserved avocado peels. (3 minutes)

07

Step

Serve immediately or chill for a refreshing treat. Best enjoyed within 1 hour of preparation. (0 minutes)

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of your favorite hot sauce.
If you don't have sweet onion on hand, red onion can be substituted, but be sure to soak it in cold water for 10 minutes to mellow its flavor.
Fresh herbs like dill or cilantro would make excellent additions to the salad.
For a vegan option, omit the shrimp and use vegan mayonnaise.
