Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare the Egg Yolk Base (12 minutes): Gently place the egg in a saucepan and cover it with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then immediately remove the saucepan from the heat. Cover and allow the egg to stand in the hot water for 10-12 minutes. This will ensure a perfectly cooked yolk.

02

Step

Cool and Separate (5 minutes): Remove the egg from the hot water and cool it completely under cold running water. Peel the egg carefully and separate the yolk from the white. Discard the white or save it for another use.

03

Step

Create the Dressing (5 minutes): In a small bowl, crumble the cooked egg yolk using a fork. Add the peanut butter, fruit jam, and vinegar to the bowl.

04

Step

Whisk and Adjust (2 minutes): Whisk all the ingredients together until well combined. Gradually add warm water, a little at a time, while whisking continuously, until the dressing reaches your desired consistency. It should be smooth and easily pourable.

For a smoother dressing, use a high-quality, creamy peanut butter.
Experiment with different fruit jam flavors to customize the dressing to your liking. Strawberry, raspberry, apricot, or even a hint of orange marmalade can add a delightful twist.
Adjust the amount of warm water to achieve your preferred consistency. Add more for a thinner dressing, or less for a thicker one.
This dressing is best served fresh. If you need to store it, keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Try this dressing over a spinach salad with crumbled bacon and toasted pecans for a truly decadent treat.
