Combine all ingredients – canola oil, white vinegar, corn syrup, lemon juice, red onion, garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, parsley, basil, and red pepper flakes – in a blender. (Prep time: ~5 minutes)

Blend on high speed until the dressing is completely smooth and emulsified, approximately 30 seconds. (Blend time: ~30 seconds)

For a richer flavor, allow the dressing to sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before using. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.
Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your liking, depending on how much heat you prefer.
Fresh herbs can be substituted for dried, using a 1:3 ratio (e.g., 1 tablespoon fresh parsley for 1 teaspoon dried).
If you don’t have corn syrup, honey can be substituted. Start with half the amount and increase to taste.
This dressing is also excellent as a marinade for grilled chicken or vegetables.
