For an even richer flavor, try using a combination of sharp Cheddar and Gruyere cheese. To prevent sticking, you can lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker before adding the ingredients. If you prefer a softer texture, add an extra 1/2 cup of milk to the mixture before cooking. This mac and cheese can be kept warm in the slow cooker on the 'Warm' setting for up to 2 hours without compromising the texture.
