For an extra depth of flavor, try using a high-quality soy sauce and raw honey. If you don't have fresh ginger, 1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger can be substituted. Feel free to add some vegetables to the skillet along with the onions, such as bell peppers or mushrooms.
