Follow The Directions
01
Step
In a medium saucepan, combine water and rinsed quinoa. Bring to a boil over medium heat. (2 minutes)
02
Step
Cover the saucepan, reduce heat to low, and simmer until all the water is absorbed. (10-12 minutes)
03
Step
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it rest, covered, for 5 minutes to allow the quinoa to steam and fluff up.
04
Step
Gently stir in the chopped dried pineapple, dried mango, sweetened coconut flakes, and chopped macadamia nuts.
05
Step
Incorporate both the regular and hot mango chutneys, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
06
Step
Serve the Tropical Quinoa hot, allowing the flavors to meld together.
For a more intense tropical flavor, consider toasting the coconut flakes lightly before adding them to the quinoa.
If you prefer a milder spice level, adjust the amount of hot mango chutney to your liking. You can also substitute with a pinch of red pepper flakes.
This dish can be prepared ahead of time and reheated gently before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
To elevate the presentation, garnish with fresh cilantro or a lime wedge.
