Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Lightly spray a large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, sliced almonds, sucralose sweetener, salt, and ground cinnamon. Ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed. (5 minutes)

03

Step

In a small saucepan, stir together the applesauce and white sugar. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. As soon as it simmers, immediately remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. (7 minutes)

04

Step

Pour the applesauce mixture over the oat mixture. Toss thoroughly to coat every oat and almond. Spread the coated granola evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. (3 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even browning. The granola is ready when it's a beautiful golden brown. (30 minutes)

06

Step

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place it on a cooling rack. Allow the granola to cool completely before breaking it into clusters. (60 minutes)

For a richer flavor, toast the almonds lightly in a dry pan before adding them to the oat mixture.
Feel free to experiment with other nuts and seeds, such as pecans, walnuts, or sunflower seeds.
Store the cooled granola in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.

I substituted maple syrup for the sugar and it turned out great! A little stickier, but worth it.

The vanilla flavor is perfect. Not too overpowering, just right.
