Follow The Directions

01

Step

In a bowl, submerge frog legs in buttermilk. Ensure they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours. (Time: 60 minutes - 240 minutes)

02

Step

Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) according to the manufacturer's instructions. (Time: 5 minutes)

03

Step

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the cornmeal, flour, and seafood seasoning. Seal the bag and shake vigorously to ensure the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. (Time: 2 minutes)

04

Step

Remove a pair of frog legs from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip back into the bowl. Place them into the bag with the seasoned cornmeal mixture. Seal the bag and shake well to coat each leg completely. For an extra crispy coating, dip the frog legs back into the buttermilk and then back into the cornmeal mixture for a second coating. Transfer the coated frog legs to a plate. (Time: 5 minutes)

05

Step

Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the coated frog legs in the basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. Spray the tops of the frog legs with another light coating of cooking spray. Work in batches if necessary. (Time: 3 minutes per batch)

06

Step

Air fry for 5 minutes. Check the frog legs and spray any spots that appear dry or chalky with additional cooking spray. Continue air frying until the frog legs are golden brown and crispy, approximately 3-5 minutes more. (Time: 8-10 minutes per batch)

07

Step

Transfer the cooked frog legs to a serving plate. Repeat the process with any remaining frog legs. Serve immediately and enjoy! (Time: 2 minutes)

For best results, ensure the frog legs are thoroughly dried before coating to promote better adhesion of the cornmeal mixture.
Buttermilk adds a tangy flavor and helps to tenderize the frog legs. If you don't have buttermilk, you can use regular milk with a tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar added.
Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cooking in batches ensures even cooking and maximum crispiness.
Adjust cooking time based on the size of the frog legs and your air fryer model. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
