Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a shallow dish, thoroughly combine tapioca starch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge each chicken piece in the mixture, ensuring it's fully coated. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Place a cooling rack on a baking sheet. Arrange the dredged chicken pieces on the rack, allowing any excess coating to fall off. Lightly spray the chicken with cooking spray. Transfer the chicken to the air fryer basket. (5 minutes)

04

Step

Air fry for 10 minutes, pausing halfway through to shake the basket for even cooking. (10 minutes)

05

Step

In a small bowl, whisk together tomato sauce, gochujang, honey, and soy sauce until well combined. Drizzle this flavorful sauce over the crispy chicken pieces. (2 minutes)

For extra crispy chicken, ensure the pieces are not overcrowded in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
Adjust the amount of gochujang to suit your spice preference. Start with less and add more to taste.
Serve immediately for the best texture. This Korean fried chicken pairs wonderfully with steamed rice and a side of kimchi.
