For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of asafoetida (hing) to the batter. Adjust the amount of jalapeno based on your spice preference. For a milder bhaji, remove the seeds and membrane completely. Serve immediately for the best crispy texture. These are also delicious with mint chutney or tamarind chutney. If you don't have an air fryer, you can bake these in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
