Follow The Directions

01

Step

In the bread machine pan, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let stand until the yeast dissolves and becomes foamy, approximately 10 minutes.

02

Step

In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, rolled oats, powdered milk, and salt. Set aside.

03

Step

Add honey, vegetable oil, and softened butter to the yeast mixture in the bread machine pan. Then, pour the flour mixture on top.

04

Step

Select the 'Dough' cycle on your bread machine and press start. Allow the machine to complete the cycle, which should take around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

05

Step

Once the dough cycle is complete, transfer the dough to a 9x5-inch loaf pan that has been lightly coated with cooking spray. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.

06

Step

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

07

Step

Bake the loaf in the preheated oven until the top is a rich, golden brown, approximately 35 minutes.

For a richer flavor, try using melted coconut oil instead of vegetable oil.
If you prefer a softer crust, brush the top of the loaf with melted butter immediately after removing it from the oven.
Ensure your yeast is fresh for optimal rising. If it doesn't foam in the first step, it may be expired.
The dough cycle time may vary slightly depending on your bread machine model.
