For a richer flavor, use browned butter. Add a splash of dry sherry or white wine vinegar at the end for extra depth. If you don't have chicken bouillon cubes, 1/2 teaspoon of chicken bouillon powder can be substituted. A pinch of red pepper flakes adds a nice touch of heat.
