Follow The Directions

01

Step
0 mins

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

02

Step
0 mins

Place rolls, without separating them, on a flat work surface; cut in half horizontally. Arrange bottom half rolls in the prepared pan; sprinkle 1 cup Cheddar cheese on top.

03

Step
4 mins

Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted, 3 to 5 minutes.

04

Step
7 mins

Add beef and onion to a skillet; cook and stir until beef is browned, 5 to 8 minutes. Drain grease. Stir in tomatoes, 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard, 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper; cook until fully combined, 1 to 2 minutes.

05

Step
0 mins

Spoon beef mixture over rolls; sprinkle remaining 1 cup Cheddar cheese and bacon on top. Cover with top half rolls.

06

Step
1 mins

Combine butter, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, and 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce in a microwave-safe bowl; cover. Microwave on high until butter is melted, about 1 minute; stir until blended. Pour over rolls; sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

07

Step
23 mins

Bake in the preheated oven, uncovered, until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.

For an extra layer of flavor, try adding a thin layer of caramelized onions to the bottom half of the rolls before adding the cheese.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
If you don't have Hawaiian sweet rolls, any sweet roll will work, but the Hawaiian rolls add a unique sweetness.
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
Make ahead tip: Assemble the sliders (without the butter sauce) up to 24 hours in advance, cover, and refrigerate. Add the butter sauce and bake just before serving, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time if needed.
